The World Brand Design Society – In-House Design Awards will reopen on the 1st of May 2022, and we will continue supporting in-house teams and promoting their work. All in-house teams can pre-register for the WBDS Awards here and you can also submit work to be published on our website here.

The World Brand Design Society would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who entered WBDS In-house Design Awards 2021/22. Last year no works were selected as winners, so this is the first year the In-House Design Awards, the smallest status category of the WBDS Awards, has published winners. This in its self is something worth celebrating. A big congratulations to all winners.

 

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A., better known by its initialism BBVA, is a Spanish multinational financial services company based in Madrid and Bilbao, Spain. It is one of the largest financial institutions in the world, and is present mainly in Spain, South America, North America, Turkey, and Romania. This year BBVA Creative, BBVA internal in-house team in Spain entered this years awards.

This years In-House Gold Winner went to BBVA Creative for their Digital Creative Campaign that’s focuses on small to medium enterprises who were at the core of the economic crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. BBVA Creative in-house design team in Spain win Gold Award, 1st Place, as well as picking up a Silver Award and 3rd Place for in the category Illustration for Identity Design for their Characters 3D Illustration for advertising campaigns.

Azbuka Vkusa (Russian: Азбука вкуса), translated in English as Alphabet of Taste. The supermarket chain was founded by Maxim Koscheenko and Oleg Lytkin. The first store was opened in Moscow in 1997. As of 2015, it operates 90 stores in Moscow, Petersburg and its suburbs. It is one of Russia's 50 largest retailers.

The retailer Azbuka Vkusa wins Silver Award and 2nd Place. The objective was to highlight the city of origin of the products where the farm is located. The farms produce a limited number of products every year, making the product unique. The first in the line of products was the flagship steaks, which we named "Mosalsky" to create a bond with this product.

In third place and Silver, BBVA Creative from Spain created 3D Illustration for their advertising campaigns. The BBVA Ctreaive inhouse team stated "We are always evolving our assets to respond to the needs of the countries in which we are operating and the trends we see in them. The main objective was to give the illustration a greater personality and to make people connect emotionally with our creativity. This is how our 3D illustration was born, opening up a huge range of possibilities when it comes to generating communications in static or animated illustration. The characters have a great level of detail and we can express any kind of emotion through them."
